He’s been impeached, three times I think.

Think of impeachment as a crowd chanting “shame on you!”. It won’t actually accomplish much. If anything, it encourages someone like Trump, who takes great pride in being shameful and hated.

He hasn’t been fully impeached. If ratified by the senate he would be removed from office.

He has been fully impeached to the absolute maximum, congress does impeachment and that is all.

Senate does an impeachment trial. They are not the same thing.

Bill Clinton was IMPEACHED. Donald Trump was IMPEACHED. Your correction is REJECTED by every available news source and every available English dictionary on planet Earth.

        Look it up.

Still blows my mind Trump was convinced of all those felonies and the consequence was the judge shrugging and going “well, it do be like that sometimes.”

Let’s be real, those “felonies” wouldn’t take anyone down, they were a joke. “oh no, you took money from pile A to pay for hookers, not money from pile B.” A complete waste of resources, how many millions were wasted on that crap?

All sarcastic memes and edginess aside, I really want this to be a clear, explicit result: Every congressman who voted against impeachment of Hegseth after Signalgate is very much responsible for every one of the >100 innocent students and teachers killed in that school bombing. We knew LONG ago that Hegseth was an incompetent drunkard.

Not to ever say this war was necessary, but I’d have much rathered it at least be handled competently.

I think when 50 of them voted to confirm Hegseth that any hope for sane minds among the GOP should have been long fucking gone.

      Preach man…

It’s funny how standards and expectations somehow excuse obscene behavior

Sometimes I wonder if this is what he’s doing already. It’s like he’s speedrunning through the worst ideas and his worst impulses and yet I fear the worst is yet to come. It will take generations of steady and firm leadership, real leadership, to unfuck the damage he’s done. He is a clear and present danger to the world, and the longer we continue to play this game of existential chicken the more we show our asses in complacency that turns to complicity with each day that passes.

maybe if he doesn’t fuck with the midterms and if dems win the senate and the house and he like follows the constitutional law… maybe we could finally convict him (again)

    if if if if

and after all that he pulls a nixon and nothing happens
