I prepped everything in the morning so that no matter how bad my arm was I could just toss everything together at the last moment.

The MSG is under the sesame seeds.

You’re telling me a chicken fried this rice?
We have 14 chickens. The odds of finding one that could cook were pretty good.
What seasonings?
Salt, soy sauce, sesame oil, MSG, red pepper flakes, minced ginger from this year’s crop.
Chicken was marinated in granulated garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, red pepper flakes and maybe things I forgot.
My quick and dirty attempt for a last minute lunch:

Not too bad for barely ever making fried rice. Some chicken, onions and peppers, soy and worcestershire sauces. Then butter, msg, garlic, salt, and a pinch of curry powder.
Did you make the rice in advance?
Yeah. I threw it in the rice cooker while I was getting ready for class.
Looks delish!
I don’t normally add bell peppers but I had one and the wife really liked that addition to brighten it up.
Looks great! I was hoping for chicken-fried rice, where you “bread” the rice grains with flour and spices, and then deep fry the whole thing. Your version is much healthier.
I’ve seen that one before and it always makes me sad.
He later goes and talks to the lady who did the segment. It makes me smile because even she says its the BBC recipe thats the issue haha.
