Having less compute may mean even more cables: rather than having data sent over one cable then decoded, each line is either on or off, controlling: something… (there could be signals here just contemplating). In modern stuff the logic is condensed, with data running between, in effect these older systems were one distributed logic unit. Probably over simplifying hut think of an old motorcycle, many cables, because you have to run power and ground back and forth all the way from switches to lights motors etc and back again.

Thats true a lot to consider; we have plenty of tools tractor, were all engineers so we have a fuck ton of wire, a machine shop, micro controllers etc. so repair wise were probably ok. But yeah should probably consider land management; mostly its just forest and a yard atm. Pesticides!!! Thats a good though. Tbh wondering if the route to go is to buy a lot of chemicals as well if we need to synthesize stuff.

US states don’t have inter-state border controls beyond some weight checking for semis. Additionally all ports of entry are federally controlled and per the constitution states cant make treaties with other countries. You could maybe do the work permit thing per state though.
