First season could be a bit rough at points as the cast finds their characters and the plot tries to stick to every man out of his element. That goes away around season 2.

Yeah no shit the guy who wants my team to do his job by making it sound like effective teamwork is shit. But when I call it out HR says I’m not being a team player (which is funny cause me and my team pick up a lot of slack without ever getting help in return even when it costs them effectively nothing.)

But if they aren’t completely selfish they might choose the harder method to accomplish their tasks if it means less work for their teammates, rather than insisting others do more work to make it easier for themselves.

Galaxy class ships are interstellar cruise liners. Crew comfort is one of the top priorities and they have about a thousand crew to run a ship that maybe takes 200-250 people run due to automation and how highly trained the crew is (in theory at least.)

So from Jelico’s perspective, he’s got overstaffed crews bumping into each other during their job and ensigns doing science projects to fill their duty hours, when he can add a fourth shift, reduce work hours to 6 hours and potentially have a second shift on standby while they spend time with their family or relax. It’s really only the senior staff that are negatively affected by the change, and at that point… who cares? They are supposed to be the best of the best on the fleet flagship.

I live in Minnesota and the majority of the power produced in my area is Wind Turbines that are all pushing 5-10 years of use. The company operating them is well past the break even point and pure profit for every watt they get now but the price of energy is higher than ever.
