My favorite recipe to make is this Japanese chicken curry with rice (cooked with star anise, cloves, cardamom, and a bay leaf). My friends used to love it. This is reminding me to make it again. Lasts for days if you make too much!

I always do just carrots, potatoes, and sautéed onions. You can do fried or sautéed tofu instead of chicken like I use, and I bet it would be just as amazing!

The problem is that we used to have “iq” tests that were enforced for voting. This is not a good precedent because it can be used for evil even though it’s probably the best thing to do.

I will say that the 2 year age gap actually makes sense though. Dating in high school would be a lot weirder with restricted ages based on if your birthday was in May vs January of the same year.

See, I like iOS because it integrates with my work laptop of a MacBook Pro. I don’t need to fiddle with my phone anymore and all texts just come through my laptop.

I smoked a little when it was illegal in my state but legal in others. I made brownies. I think the new weed is just “take a hit or two” or even “share a joint with 3-4 people” and it’s fine. I love that my vapes are $30 legally and just last for months. Such a cheap drug now.

If I make 150k and am maxed out on my standard deduction, but then I make 250k and there’s no difference on my standard deduction, I’m not getting more standard deduction. If my wife is a stay at home mom and I make $250k, I am getting more standard deduction now, right?

But what you’re saying: a raise for the lower earner does give more money. But by being a big earner marrying a now or low earner, it incentivizes high earners marrying low earners. Or mixed earners. It was devised in the time when women didnt work but we needed more tax benefits for taking care of women.

Exactly. It’s to incentivize one person to be a bread winner and one to make less and be a home maker (or something with less hours) so you get the tax benefits. It would be a nice system if expenses weren’t so damn high.

I usually watch these type of videos while WFH but I haven’t been able to these last few weeks.

I use AI in my job but for script development. I would never have an AI without explicit guardrails or automated and not prompt driven and watched. It’s gotten creative though by using find … exec rm to remove old files, because I allowlisted find *. But it still only can do stuff in the directory it’s open in.

I haven’t had TWO HOURS to dedicate to it just yet.
