Not weird at all actually, see the commenter doesn’t want to be arrested and sent to prison just for having a tool for protection on their belt, but the school shooter isn’t concerned with that because they’re about to murder people (and then themselves most often), which is a bigger crime and an avoidance of that jail sentence, so they don’t particularly care that a gun is illegal to have at a school.

And I wouldn’t count on the uvalde police department to take action as they proved they are scared little piggies who hid in hallways while kids were being actively murdered, “for officer safety” Turns out your service couldn’t even save some kids from your very own people.

True, but if you bring a gun into a school for protection “because the cops won’t” (not arguing the premise) and you get caught, you’re still going to federal prison for a long time. It’s still a federal felony even though the cops suck. That matters to most people who aren’t already planning to break other laws like “child murder.”

Possibly because there’s other family they still like that also attends such yearly gatherings, too.

Meanwhile since 1993 homicide rates (and all violent crime in fact) have steadily decreased. Interesting.

Another interesting tidbit is that homicides (among all violent crime) have fallen steadily since 1993 in the US, while firearms ownership has increased.

Well Rare Replay includes a few games in it that imo are fucking classics like Conker (but the best version is Live and Reloaded), Ghoulies, Battletoads, Banjo, Viva Pinata, but most of those are available on pc by other methods afaik, just not bundled with “Rare Replay” (which means Conker is better emulated on the xbox OG, because bot battles Squirrel v Bear.)
