W. set up an 18-year-old to do a straw purchase of crack in front of the White House so he could drastically increase sentences for dealing the drug nationally. Clarence Thomas joined a case that prohibited a Seattle and Kentucky School Districts from voluntarily desegregating, on the grounds that accounting for the race of individual students when setting school policy was itself a form of racial discrimination. Just the tip of the iceberg on those two, of course. But they’ve been a nightmare for the the civil rights of minors during their respective political tenures.
