Xbox’s new CEO Asha Sharma says the company is “returning to Xbox” with a renewed focus on consoles, hardware, and protecting players’ long‑term investments.
Every other article flip flops between Xbox is dead and committing to Xbox.
And it’s always meaningless corpo speak nonsense.
Not exactly inspiring MS.
Full size ads on startup and killing gold means its only on the business of staying in business. Xbox hasn’t been decent in over a decade and a non gamer won’t know how it actually worked. Plus they killed all their studios
@thirteene @DataBlade To be 100% fair, the 360 had ads, BUT sometimes said ads benefited the player. Like “watch ad to recieve free avatar items”. I got some cool stuff that way. And I do think that a non-gamer CAN turn Xbox around, it’s just pretty unlikely.
I did the same, but looking back it feels like the added the rewards so people accepted them, and once they normalised having adds in the system they removed the rewards.
Dude, yeah, I sure hope they’re as committed as they say… Ever since I saw Halo on the OG Xbox I was hooked. I felt like I was betraying Nintendo and Sega, but some titles like Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT made their way to Xbox, with their Dreamcast style controller and memory packs, so it felt natural to go that route.
I don’t even want to think about the money I spent in this ecosystem, but I’d bet its easily over $25k!
This the same person that showed their Xbox account was created a month ago? With achievements that are easy to get in just a few hours?
