So it’s somehow bad now to want bad things to happen to bad people? Color me a MAGAt then.

No, it’s more that it’s dumb to not take a breath and discuss why this is happening. Tucker may have hit a nerve, like him or not.

We know why this happened though. America, under Trump (and not really corrected under Biden), sold off their soft power, allowing other countries to walk all over us intentionally. And it’s only going to get worse under further Republican control. Meanwhile, Democrats have taken the mantle of neo-liberalism and neo-conservatism, so unless we suddenly elect an entirely progressive government and start to work towards normalizing foreign relationships, the kidnappings will continue.

If he hit a nerve it was by platforming actual antisemitism, which only serves to further muddy the waters amid all the bad-faith accusations of antisemitism towards anyone who thinks a genocidal government regime is, like, not a good thing.

I really don’t think there is any common cause to be found with a fellow like this, and the most likely outcome of this detention is that he will probably abruptly change his tune on Israel. And he may have some light internal bleeding.

Kayfabe is real, people know it is, they engage with it anyway because they want to have fun playing around with stories and narratives and we’ve all learned that we can make our own reality and get some level of social support for it.

I think it’s the irony of seeing fascism take itself out. It’s like seeing two bullies fighting each other and Tucker literally helped build the leopard as well.

I get ya, I’m not celebrating and imo this is bad.

Buuut, in all fairness he chose to go there assuming Israel isn’t the big baddy everyone says they are.

So more like leopards eating faces scenario which imo is justified.

Nah, in fact he probably went there hoping Israel would do something like this. Tucker has turned against Israel and has even been making connections with them and Epstein. This will only give him street cred in the rising anti Israel nationalist right.

It’s becoming a growing rift on the right. If you’re an actual (white) america first nationalist it doesn’t make much sense to send billions of dollars to Israel so they can kill Palestinian children and piss off Arabs who’ll do terrorist attacks against you or embroil you in costly forever wars.

It’s also become a generational divide, support for Israel has dropped more among young Republicans than it has young democrats, something like 75% -> 25% vs 50% -> 20%. The new Gen z Nazis don’t remember 9/11 and don’t view Muslim terrorism as much of a threat, they want to focus on the “antifa terrorists” and immigrant gangs infesting the big cities.

Just like with the left you see it more in the alt media sphere as opposed to the politicians, though Marjorie Taylor Greene was a notable example but she pretty much got kicked out of the party. Nick fuentes, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, and if you believe Candice’s conspiracies charlie kirk was coming around to it before the mossad killed him, are all very critical of Israel recently.

And of course, especially with fuentes, there’s a lot of anti-Semitism mixed in about the Jews controlling politics. Israel is a gold mine for conspiracy theories and the right has been building their platform on affirming whatever crazy shit their base believes.

      Bingo.

Be prepared for a barrage of downvotes tho as team blue is the only correct side to be supporting, according to lemmitors here.
