If I have never been affected by my credit score, does it mean I’m not really an adult?
Shit, I’ve had a credit score of 750 or more for years, and yet I can never get approved for any loans other than small, short-term ones like from a cash checking service to get an advance on a paycheck.
I was in a similar boat for the first few years out of college. Like, totally fine score, couldn’t even get a PayPal credit for under $1000 for some reason.
When I met my wife and we secured a credit union mortgage, everyone just started throwing credit at me. My score is sky high, so every account keeps raising my limit, which raises my score, etc. it’s all a bunch of bullshit.
The only crazy thing I noticed after getting married was how people speak to me when I wear the ring vs when I don’t.
I still wear the ring even tho I am no longer married just because people are often friendlier when they see it.
What’s with the wedding ring?
Helps strangers think I’m trustworthy.

Student loan’s a scam, don’t pay.
Not paying a financial institution might be the worst advice you could give. That’s like not paying the mafia.
Don’t take a student loan in the first place.
Especially since the financial institutions can fuck up your life way more than the Mafia.
yeah it’s much smarter to have all your belongings taken away by debt collectors
