worshipping my rooster
no problem and thanks for taking a shot. probably not worth troubleshooting it any further anyway because now that i think of it, there’s also a slight possibility that it has taken damage from being carried in a backbag in cold weathers as low as -20 C, and then immediately opened up for use. that would explain why the trackpad occasionally stops working and why the battery life went from 6 hours to 2 in just 3 years. not exactly how you should handle laptops but that’s what it had to do and that’s why i bought used

i absolutely do not get endorfins from it, but something quite the opposite. i feel like shit and get anxiety. and before someone asks, i have seen a doctor and nothing was found.
didn’t know they added kernel anticheat to gta online, thought they just disallowed linux players. i had 5k hours on it, didn’t really play anything else for almost 10 years. dropped it entirely that day because it’s not worth using a worse OS, and turns out single player is more fun anyway with mods. will also pirate gta 6 and play it without windblows, suck my shrimp rockstar.
same here. i can play it 30 mins max and then i get very nauseated. and you can’t really get anything done in that time.
not even on the same continent, but the laptop found a place in the back of a closet with an important role as a dedicated fw updater 😅
HP elitebook 840 G5, i think it has a 128 GB disk, bought it used a few years ago just for school use. but linux partition has 10 and windows has 30 gigs free, it has 8 GB ram. i gave up with it and ordered a used thinkpad yesterday, I’ll put linux on that and HP can be my win laptop if i ever need it for updating firmware on anything. (still waiting for a fixed FW for my buggy ass keychron…)
no it has a tiny ssd, but every time windows takes about 30 min to 2 hours to start because it’s configuring and updating and rebooting before i get to even log in. kubuntu starts in a minute but i have to go through a blindingly white bios menu to start it and then it can’t suspend or even shutdown properly…
i constantly have to troubleshoot my linux computers, but still less than my windows laptop, which is a pain to even boot up
get this, we use jira in hw development. it sucks btw

same, but only 3 years here

they openly admit it’s 30% AI coded

AI generated detail is not something anyone wants in an actual camera, it usually looks odd. but i doubt 180mp vs 50mp is going to make much difference other than massive file size
my total hours in gta:sa since it came out must be somewhere around 10k hours. second place goes to gta v online which i only recently quit because they decided to block linux players, 5k hours.
i used to take little pieces and flick them. the goal was to get it in someone’s hair and pretend i didn’t do anything

my parents put me into a christian daycare when i was like 4. i still remember looking out the window hoping to get the fuck out of there. it was only a few weeks because all that religion bullshit gave me nightmares and i would be in constant panic that the sky will fall and satan will get me. the scars are there stll almost 30 years later
what really bothers me is jajaja

my kubuntu laptop gets like that every time i close the lid and wake it up. pleasantly surprised it hasn’t happened on ultramarine kde on my desktop…although it has a ton of different issues

to be fair, during the past few years that I’ve used mint and kubuntu, not being able to shutdown, restart or suspend has been a pretty common issue 😅 so it’ll be a nice familiarity for people migrating from windows
unless they used a screen reader
