Yep. Doctors and randos alike will keep telling you to just try harder. Fuck that.
Read a book. Work some more on your project. Go for a run. Don’t try to sleep.

I don’t know the US judicial system works, but Sweden has multiple tiers of criminal offenses for various kinds of violent outcomes.
Murder is premeditated and intentional. Manslaughter is not premeditated, but intentional. Then you have accidental causing of death, that is not premeditated and completely unintentional, which is still a criminal offense. The last tier is for careless drivers or workplace negligience leading to serious accidents, not for actual use of violence.
I think in this case, given that the gun was loaded, safety was off, he aimed it at her, and he more than likely had his finger on the trigger, he would have a really hard time getting away with manslaughter even.
It’s wild that it seems Texas prosecutors basically just dropped the case.

This is spot on, and pretty much how it went down everywhere, not just the UK. Just to clarify: it’s workers, not capital, who create wealth. The staggering rise in inequality, pricing people out of cities and the housing market is having a significant negative effect on productivity which is why Europe is falling behind.
This means lost time where we have not been producing anywhere near our potential, and by consequence also not honing our skills to produce anything in the future. We can’t just win this time back by political change now, it’s lost forever, and young people who should have been at the forefront of developing the economy and making families will never win this back.
We need to be way more angry than we are, and every day that we don’t fix this we’re letting it get worse.

I bet he’s telling the truth. Which is all kinds of even sadder than if he had shot her out of rage for a disagreement.
They use the same rationale for international security. If everybody gas nuclear bombs, then nobody needs them. It’s insane doomsday evangelism dressed up as a debate club argument.

Yeah, I think you’re hitting on something important. This is probably also why people living under dictatorships sometimes approve of their dictator. The devil you know.

It’s about priorities, not cost. And to an extent I suspect it’s about culture, too.
I’m not talking about how to connect distant towns to each other, that’s done with power lines. But in one-family home suburbia it’s easy to provide underground power as a utility. You’ve already got your plumbing underground, just add a pipe for wires.

Why don’t you guys, you know, bury the power lines?
Hanging electric wires from wooden poles is wild to me. They do that in some rural parts of Europe.
I mean I think the bigger issue here is that he sent a Tesla to space when he could have become the Jesus of our times, and saved hundreds of millions of people from abject poverty and despair.

Oh he does have a degree in political science from some hoity-toity ivy league school, does he? Well that kind of elitism doesn’t sit right with me, and his opinion is disqualified.

It’s clearer because you can see him, the view isn’t blocked by the car. But Renee Good was also clearly summarily executed, and there was likely a dimension of hate crime involved given the murderer’s history.

To all the billionaires out there: people will never respect you until you have 2 kg of dick. Go show them who’s boss!

To all the kids out there: accept who you are. Love yourself. Be genuine.

Those fucking clowns all thought they were privy to legitimate “intel” dossiers. They don’t care about news or critical thinking, they’re gonna need their commands in short-form reel-loop format just like their grifter führer.
Luigi didn’t eat no billionaire.
Luigi has been falsely accused of whacking some goofy millionaire, a mere servant of billionaires. And no eating involved, even in the false accusation!
But more importantly he couldn’t have touched that millionaire, because that day me and my boy Luigi Nicholas Mangione were playing Contra and he carried hard. That guy from the insurance company probably just got into some sort of accident.
There’s a reason why Debian is so popular as a base for other distros. It’s just no-nonsense, does what it’s supposed to do, never expects praise just for doing its damn job.

It’s not the democrats actively doing this. But they are a controlled opposition that has actively sabotaged a true alternative, to the detriment of all Americans and indeed all of the people of this planet.

No you’re probably right, I’ve had my Ubuntu-based distro act up after upgrades, and I actually find it more random now than what it used to be like in the 2010s. My feeling is that Debian/Arch are better in this regard, and most newbies don’t actually need bleeding-edge patches.

Thank you
I have a recommendation for your recommendations. There’s KDE Neon which is distributed by the KDE project, which is Ubuntu-based. That’s what I personally run, now that I really don’t have the time/energy to tinker.
Hah, you swapped insomnia for reading-induced narcolepsy. Neat!
