They have a big meeting to tell us and introduce the guy that’s replacing her… The guy who got hired a year ago, spent who knows how much on some “fleet management” software. Software that we never used because we all objected to installing the app on our personal phones that wanted to track our location and have all sorts of other crazy permissions. Yea I remember reading about that. The thing that’s baffling to me is that he painted the gold parts white. Covering shit in gold paint has been his whole thing since like the 80s. If he painted the whole thing gold it wouldn’t be quite as confusing to me.

They were talking about in on NPR today. Apparently the front of the building previously had gold columns and he had them painted over white when he renamed it, absolutely baffling. Maybe it didn’t look cheap enough.

I would 100% look in the employee handbook and see exactly what time would be considered late for a disciplinary notice and start coming in at that time exactly. My last job it was 11 minutes after scheduled start time. And I would always tell people that whenever they’d say “you’re late”

I just watched this show Pluribus. In it a hive mind takes over earth except a few immune people. In one episode the main character discovers a warehouse full of frozen body parts starts freaking out and confronts the hive mind. They made a pretty convincing point, there 7 billion people in the world and every day millions of them die from accidents or natural causes, it would be wasteful not to use that abundant source of protein that is otherwise going to just rot.

Dude I clean windows for a living. The amount of people that don’t see me and walk within inches is infuriating. I get that sometimes there’s not much room to walk around and I try to be understanding of that. But the amount of times there’s 5+ feet of empty sidewalk and people can’t be bothered to move 1 foot to the right while they step around me…

Ive been getting my anxiety meds from this online medical clinic for a few years. Didn’t need insurance just paid a monthly fee and I could talk to health professionals for whatever health issue I was having. A few months ago I was notified they were bought by an insurance company so now they can only serve customers with that insurance. So just fuck everyone that used the service before no more meds for them !!
