I better question in terms of the teeth of the laws is, are there any real consequences to an operating system provider just ignoring them and not providing any kind of age verification in their software whatsoever?
The question I assume will get answered soon enough by GrapheneOS since they have told everyone asking for OS age verification to go pound sand.
Didn’t they shitcan the age verification thing in systemd and they fire the guy who put it in? Or was that just a joke post?

Risa@startrek.website•Star Trek Discovery Kind of Forgot There Were No Replicators in the 23rd CenturyEnglish
1·3 days agoThe food replicators converted energy directly into food the same way transporters convert a person from matter into energy and then back again. What he was describing was a completely different type of process likely mechanical and chemical in nature.
Note he did not say one of the things they turned waste into was food.
Edit: IIRC they actually had an episode of Enterprise in which they encountered an alien race that had food replicators and were fascinated by the technology.
He didn’t go MAGA, he always was. Same for Sorbo and same for Jim Caviezel.

6·6 days agoThere’s a movie you should check out. Little Big Man, a fictionalized account of real events in America’s history of taking any and every parcel of land that Native Americans have had the misfortune of living on.
Can I just say that I am absolutely loving this era of Adam’s artistic career.

4·7 days agoThat’s because here in the Midwest we get a lot of our oil for gasoline from Canada. But demand is going to continue to spike and it will not stay that way.

52·8 days ago“According to the flight attendant directly involved in the matter, the passenger boarded with an open container which she admitted contained alcohol when questioned. Bringing an open container of alcohol on board violates both Frontier policy and federal law. When the flight attendant informed the passenger of the violation, the passenger rapidly consumed the remaining alcohol in the cup before handing it over,” the airline told Newsweek.
If you read the whole article, you tend to get the whole story.

71·8 days agoShe had an alcoholic drink in a cup. Which means she got something in the airport lounge and instead of throwing it out she just downed the last of it before getting on the plane. This is not an unusual thing passengers do it all the time.
And regardless of her personality shitty or otherwise. The crew had no right to kick her off the way they did.

Oh and even with history turned off when you start a regular video from one of your favored creators, the sidebar will continue to suggest videos from other people you are not subscribed to. So you will not be completely isolated. But it will tone down the brain rot considerably.
