The right is selling that vision… in private education. They want to do away with the public school system. At that point, it doesn’t really matter what vision they describe, as only the wealthy will have access to, and the market will provide the type of education they’re willing to pay for.

The left is selling a vision of equal opportunity education.

Exactly. The findings were correct, the sentence was correct, but the reasoning for the sentence was very problematic. A proper reasoning needs to be found that will survive supreme court appeal and provide precedent for any future similar behavior.

Along with that, they are protected by international treaties because some tribal lands straddle the border between the US and Canada or Mexico. As nations that pre-date colonialism, they’re allowed to move freely within their lands, which might take them over an international border.

So someone might be born on tribal lands in Canada but live in the US and have tribal rights, but not be an American. Or vice versa.

It’s not just bug reports; in the last month, AI driven development has actually gone from slop to reliably better than the average human.

That’s not saying it’s writing better code, just that managing the development process and catching regular bugs is now better than when run by a junior analyst.

The big thing (and what Trump & co count on) is that — yes, it’s been years since the allegations went public. Everyone knows about the allegations and is tired of them as nothing was done at the time, and so much has happened since.

But NOW, the evidence is all validated, so there can be legal consequences, if people still care. Thing is, people don’t care anymore, because other allegations are considered more important to address now. And the legal system isn’t set up to deal with such a high volume of investigations and cases (and Trump has done his utmost to make this situation even worse).

Trump’s the kind of huy who will just walk in and kick over the entire domino run and brag about it though.

Well, the truth is that visitors don’t have much to worry about from ICE — or DHS in general at the moment. Just local police wanting to make a quick buck, same as always.

It’s if you show interest in STAYING in the US that you’re likely to end up in a concentration camp.
