You know, i used to have more heated discussions about this, but now i feel like I matured a different view on this, at all. I conceive the freedom to chose on a personal ethical base above the idea of punching down ideas just because. Ideally, being vegan is just that, being vegan. You can be whatever… It’s not mandatory to be either.
I eventually found out that any amount of rage or hate for that was only projection of my special insecurities.

Even just the idea of having to ‘grind’ for a virtual currency, it’s something that modern games do and it turns them into a job. Yes, I said it. Games that have long grind hours just to access basic resources. These are really a second job sometimes, thinking of always online games like rust too. I like my games to be on when I need them to be. To save an be able to go back to them whenever i feel like. Earthbound had a commentary from the lead programmer and creator of the game in the same tone, that his game would be easy to save, quit and restart in a very casual way by design (ness’s dad personally calls you, the player, if the game runs for long enough, to basically tell you to go touch some grass). I have found certain modern titles to be made for long hour daily marathons, else you’re not adavncing enough. I emulate old stuff now.

Following this period, all players can skate Grom from April 14 through May 5 […] But then, from May 5 through June 2, you’ll need to either buy Skate Pass Premium to enter Grom, or gain access by turning in 500 earnable Rip Chips for a 24-hour ticket that lets you skate in this area temporarily.
Not only are they using microrranscations in a ‘new’ way, but they rely on fomo to call players in. “What if I miss on the period of free access? I better hurry” “Well what else can i do as a player?”
It might be that i am playing nes games and having fun with them, but i personally think that a game that pulls this shit once can do it forever to keep me engaged against my common sense. If the conditions for the players are not fair, the smart move is not to play the game.
Edit: if some of you want a modern looking game for the nes, try gravity armor metal storm by Irem. Arcade style, but it’s fairly advanced for being a classic 8-bit game. Maybe lesser known than the mabdatory contra rom / cartridge in the corner of your rom, but very good for modern players in particular.

Bartending is not easy, i know it’s not obvious for somebody out there, but it is not an easy task.

I confirm i have one, well two, but i can’t tell exactly. The annoying ones are usually long. Also you better not start thinking about these little things because it’s like virus.
No really don’t even start to think about it.

I think I need petah explains here. Not in the us military, so ignorante about this

I must mention, the ps2 / pc game that came with this movie was very liminal and surreal, especially the house level at night.
This is the best screenshot i found. It doesn’t feel like a real house, but a set. I can’t explain, i think you might have to play this youself.

I used a mavis beacon like program on my computer for english, really basic stuff but the little thing came in a cd-rom included in my school textbook, and the program covers everything up to b1 levels, and it’s seriously impressive for how small it is. By far the worst software for that type of stuff is the kind of gamified environment we have today. Edutaiment was a trend between the late 90’s and the 2000’s. Gamification is the evil twin of edutainment.

Ideally they should allow and use both, physical media and notes and digital access to all media. And allow self management. That way they will learn the limits.
But currently they are just forcing digital interfaces on students who did not fully develop yet. Ironicaly, for how much tech they must use, the use of a computer is still sub optimal. Typing skills, for instance, are better trained on a word document with a spell check active. One of the many instances where old tech is still perfectly fit.

I studied things without technology. I take notes on pen and paper, and i hate having to do online tests too. I like my printed documents and physical books. Many students will say the same, and i also tend to dislike the trend to digitise every and each aspect of learning. The truth out there is that analog classrooms work better than this chromebook hellhole, but many of you are not ready to hear that. Technology is also the problem.

Like the stupid duolingo pro and the pro max thing…and the pro max is just an extra fee to talk to an AI.
Either way. I wouldn’t discard that artwork. It’s too good for what it is.

Win10 isn’t all bad, in fact many folks treat that as a decent os. The real issues is having win11 taking hours (from 8pm to 3 am real funny) to upgrade just to find out that copilot has the whole filesystem now. No privacy or sandbox mode. No nothing. A thousands different copilot buttons.
I keep my win10 machine as is because i have a lot of my stuff there, a lot really. But in the end, I have no issue in having a mini laptop with linux. It’s the most low end device i can think of and i freed some space. But, if you’re used to windows that much, 10 is still valid.

Just so that you know, if I spot an UFO, i will maks sure to keep it to myself. I respect privacy of people and otherwodly beings alike.
I would like to have a complementary or firm answer to this, but i recall really well the counter-activism that culminated with personalities like Jordan perterson and the ‘meatfluencers’. I don’t have a clear answer to these issues. Many things are getting expensive too, including meat.
