Well, seeing this from the inside, it’s really not that big. Most powerful unions have gotten too smooth, they only call for one day strike/protest, which does not disrupt anything, and did not prevent all the bullshit they passed in the last two decades. So it’s indeed a protest but it doesnt do shit. It’s also often not that massive, mostly always the same old already unionized people, except on very big events, it’s true. What people are doing in Minneapolis and across USA seems pretty big compared to us.

In the same sense, there recently was a disclosure of footages of this kind of camera during a massive protest in france, with thousands on each side. It was very violent, with two protesters into coma if i’m right. Turns out, police forces were told beforehand to “record to prove we’ve done nothing wrong”. The result is hours of footages of insults, illegal use of their gear, call to use lethal weapons, and pleasure of sending people to hospital, because those morons forgot to turn the cameras off when those happened.

• on all the new contributors they taught, only ~5% were flagged by the AI detection tool.
• on the AI flagged articles, only 7% presented sources that didn’t even exist. Most of the AI outputed correct statements with existing sources.
• however, north of 66% of AI articles failed verification : the citations or facts could not be found in the sources provided by AI

I wanted to be a judge growing up, because i wasnt interested in what we were taught at school, and law seemed interesting. Then i got to actually study it and was revolted by both the inhumanity of it and how stupidly hard it was.

Now i do seasonnal and odd jobs and am really happy not to work anywhere close to a tribunal.

You can claim to be antiauthoritarian because you oppose your local authoritarian system, while simping for authoritarian systems abroad, i’ve already seen this type of people, be it pure tankies or people that don’t treat antiauthoritarianism as a top priority

4th grade, i drew handcuffs on my wrist with a pen during class. I thought it looked cool, the teacher apparently did not. The punishment was that i had to skip the next recess, and i still dont understand why i was punished, since the teacher didn’t explain and i was too shy to ask.

Is ZorinOS really considered a paid distro? It’s my main one and though it has indeed a paid version, the fact that it brings nothing more than extra desktop presets and preinstalled softwares made me think that it was closer to a donation system with rewards than to actual paid version. I wonder if that’s a shared sentiment or if I’m thinking less strictly than most people.
