I mean if you pay a creator directly I don’t see how that could be unethical
But also, every job under capitalism is unethical. The system is fucked but people still need to eat, so you know, choose your evil I guess

At least twitch is a bit different than YouTube in that the culture there it’s normal for people to pay and donate to streamers. Even though the owners still suck massively, of course
I would absolutely love to work towards making the world a better place and not to make like 3 guys richer

If you’re concerned about the site shutting down, seed some of their torrents from their site so that it’s easier to re-launch it if it happens

Norway isn’t dense. It has less population density than the US does

It has happened, I’ve had at least a few trump-supporters/right-wingers yapping at me in comments saying stupid stuff

And this is why the problems in America will not be easily solved. There won’t be a solution in the (if they happen) midterms. There won’t be a solution in the (if it happens) next election.
The problem of 40+% of the population supporting Trump remains. And it will remain, whether it’s the causes of it or the reality of it. And it will not simply fade away.
This large of a population supporting these policies is a crisis of catastrophic proportions.

Yeah we are almost the worst case scenario for stuff like public transit or EVs and what not
And yet, somehow it has been made to work. Where there’s a will there’s a way
…and probably something to do with the technologies being more practical than most people think

That’s not my experience in my local areas. I guess we just don’t tend to have strong winds, and you do see a ton of people with umbrellas doing just fine

10% of all crashes is definitively a brag. Crashes due to faulty hardware/bitflips is rare rare, generally I would expect that percentage to be less than 1% in any complex app
There is no way that picture won’t be in history books in the future
The purpose of a system is what it does
Transgender, AuDHD, (secret third thing. Or maybe just bitcoin)
…I’m sure my 18 year old ass would process this information in a calm and reasonable manner, lol
It’s something to do with the lack of fats and a lot of sugar in apples, right?
When I’ve consumed alcohol, about the last thing I usually want is something sweet. But I would absolutely love something greasy. I’m sure it’s something with how the alcohol affects the body
Weed just makes everything taste better tbh
Edit: but I will say, that does give me a good idea for eating healthier when I’m high

I wouldn’t say post-apocalyptic. Yes, we won’t have access to performant new chips anymore, but most critical infrastructure doesn’t need performant new chips. It would be a rough period, for sure, but not apocalyptic
And if worst came to worst, the military/government could requisition consumer equipment, or less critical business equipment

Definitively a bubble. I know pro-AI people irl
Personally I’m more in the “it’s not the tool, but how it’s used (aka, the rich fucks are the problem, as usual)”
For you first paragraph I mean, fair, I guess I had an inexplicit assumption that you’re gonna vet the creator/know them (like, say, from social media). Ofc it doesn’t guarantee everything but. Maybe I shouldn’t have said “I don’t see how”, it’s strong wording. I know sex workers irl so it’s them I had in mind.
But still, yes, you’re right, things are, as usual, always a bit of a mess in our world.
