This was my economics course. The professor would come in, play the textbook manufacturer provided PowerPoint on the screen, and read the slides word for word with little to no elaboration. It was the most boring course I had ever taken.

Had perfect attendance and got 55% on my midterm.

Gave up, skipped almost all of my classes to instead just sit in the library and study on my own.

Got about 87% on my final exam.

Mandatory attendance is stupid, if you can pass the course you can pass the course.

I’ve worked retail and one of the things that baffled me was just how wasteful price tags were.

They change SO OFTEN and it’s so much paper and plastic just tossed it the trash every time. Never even thought about it until I worked at a store and had to change them.

I literally feel this as more of a feature than a bug.

If only there was a communal source of assets that people and companies can contribute to and pull from. If something doesn’t quite fit your game you could instead spend 10 hours editing and adjusting a premade model instead of 40 hours making it from scratch. Then upload the new model for someone else to start with later.

According to google maps it’s about 7200 miles to hit the east coast or 7800 miles to hit the west coast.

So yeah technically closer but surprisingly close.

Plus going for west coast is mostly over ocean or China so less US military bases that would maybe be able to intercept it.

It’s curious why they would want to implement this because although it affects poor people, it would probably also disproportionately affect poor Republicans.

Many voters in states like Mississippi/Arkansas do not have passports because they are both poor and have no intention to travel internationally so don’t bother with passports.

I bet if they can they will only be conscripting Democrat voters, black people, Hispanics, etc.

There needs to be aovement in the US where literally NO ONE running for re-election gets voted back in.

Replace EVERYONE in there at the moment. Even if you think your current person is the one good one, obviously they aren’t effective enough.

Doesn’t matter the party, do not make it us vs them. Make it the people vs the government.

Just make a movement to completely replace everyone and make it clear to them that if they do not listen, their jobs are not safe.

Our work uses laptops and it’s already a pain in the ass with Microsoft office being subscription based cause they are often in areas with no internet or cell reception then bam, “please login”

Loved Netflix at first. I used to pirate a lot of tb shows and movies and then completely stopped once Netflix became decent.

Then they turned to shit and I’m back to pirating.

But not only that, I’m actually PAYING to pirate content because its a service that just combines all content from Netflix, Disney, apple, etc into one singular app that you can stream from any android device with the app.

It can have pretty shit quality sometimes, but at least I can watch it.

When our business decides how much we can afford to pay someone for a position, the math is always with what that payroll tax is included.

So without the payroll tax we may be able to afford paying someone $25/hour.

With it we may only be able to afford to pay them $22/hour.

It reduces the amount we can afford to pay the employee, even though it’s technically never given to them in the first place it’s money that could have gone to them.

I would love to pay more but that tax takes it out of my hands.
