I wanna see an alternative ending of the Lion King where the hyenas don’t stop at Scar when they rise up against their rulers.

Good lord. Really didn’t expect this guy in the Epstein files.

1·6 days agoThat’s a nice offer. But I’m using nixos containers to top it all off. I’m sure it’s possible to have a master-db on the core os and the containers access the central db… but I have hardly any time to do the stuff, I’m reasonably competent in as it is. Managing nixos containers and learning how to coneect the databases for using postgres in the intended way… idk. 😅

1·6 days agoMost selfhosting services employ a database in their own docker (separate) container.
Already using it on my laptp. But a few things still don’t really work, properly. Fortunately, nixos makes driving plasma and niri quite easy.
A proper scrolling wm functionality for plasma (working with activities and multiple screens) and I’d never go back to anything else.
I gotta use Ubuntu 22.04 for work and paperWM is already so close to the perfect workflow on that old system. ❤️

62·8 days agoPostgres? Sorry. If it needs a database, it’s probably not for me. Can’t be asked to keep another database backed up.
That’s actually a realy good comparison!
Really? How do you tell?
For real: Let’s not forget that it’s still quite likely that he’s being framed.
Context? (Apart from throwing Alex Pretti under the bus)
Sloppidy slop (count the toes)
I’m all for discussing the labour movement. I’m just not the right type of neurodivergent to be too interested in events that far back.
Now, if you produced a podcast on it, on the other hand…
Sorry, youlost me at ancient rome. 😅
It’s a bit of a chicken-and-egg-problem. People don’t do wildcat strikes (based, btw.) without them thinking that they can pull it off. You need organizing for that.
I don’t know enough about China to have a solution. I just mistook you for some “general strike romanticist”.
So then, try again: What exactly is it that you’re trying to suggest?
Because “let’s do a general strike!” Is waaaay too abstract for agitation. It’s clicktivism, at best.
In the time you explained how a general strike would save us all, you could have organized with your co-workers (agitating them in the process).
I never said that strikes aren’t the sharpest tool for the proletariat. But strikes come from real-world organizing. Not annoying each other to death on the fediverse.

But markdown is so easy to learn. They can even ignore most of it, probably.
