1·11 days agoNPR member stations can vary pretty significantly on programming depending on your locality. One of the few things they have to have are the top of the hour six minute news segments.

4·18 days agoI’m probably one of the best 1000 whistlers alive but I suspect people used to be far better whistlers on average so I’m losing so hard.
Too bad I have this moral obligation to disobey stupid laws.
Oh god the shit monologues. Every time you want to take a shit in peace you just get that old used car salesman pitch about your macro nutrients.
All things that live on this planet, and especially humans, have an incredible capacity for healing. Not that the things which happen to you don’t change you, but healing is always possible (maybe even inevitable) when you get away from whats doing you damage.
Its not like you can’t tell though, sound seems to be one of the things its worst at and everybody is used to highly produced and clean sounding music.

My favorite band has a song about him called “The Soft Hands Of Stephen Miller,” came out 7 years ago and its pretty funny.
I think a lot of the reasons you have pointed out are why the bubble hasn’t burst and won’t soon. It took 9 years after the dismantling of the Glass Steagall act for the Great Recession. The economy just has a lot more momentum than people think it does. The people near the top do not have enough power and control over the economy to stop everything forever though.
