you can’t logically conclude that from solely your local weather fluctuations.
From a pure scientific method standpoint 100%
But changes local weather can easily be corroborated by satelite data of the polar vortex.
Like we can see that wind from the north pole is dipping south faster than it used to. Resulting in cold snaps as the wind rushes south and heat domes in regions between the jetstreams.
This directly results in the increasingly frequent and extreme weather fluctuations we’ve been been experiencing.
…
In my region we regularly have a “false spring” this time of year. We get a week of warm that melts the snow in the valley and then a week later it drops back down and snows again.
But lately the hi’s and low’s are 10c hotter/colder. The heat in between is so warm trees start coming out of hybernation. The cold snaps so fast that it threatens local agriculture.
We just got a foot of wet snow and tomorrow it’s supposed to br 15c and sunny.
…
Couple years ago we were stuck in the heat dome and you could see the polar vortex swooping 100km below us and to either side on the weather channel.
$139 USD ($189 CAD) was all it took for my cheap ass. That and I use an ancient thinkpad because nothing I do on my laptop requires a V10PC

3·6 days agoThat’s my only gripe with my ONN box… the remote gets updates. seems sus. But I don’t give it microphone permissions so hopefully that’s sufficient.

16·6 days agoThere’s literally no reason to buy a smart TV so long as TV’s have multiple HDMI inputs.
I use the 4k ONN box which can play files off the high seas… i mean USB.
Most people think the Nazis only locked up Jews. Some realise they also locked up minorities.
They started with the impoverished, queer, and disabled.
Also this goalpost will move almost immediately. What if the parent doesn’t understand why the OS is asking for a DOB and they type whatever?
Which we have already seen with content ratings. Instead of using the rating to inform themselves on what content to allow their child, they basically relied on the retailers/theatres not selling access to people below the age.
It is pretty funny just how generalized western feelings toward

I can at least appreciate this as a shitpost

93·6 days agoUnpopular opinion but youtube + music is good value.
But my journey here was unique.
I grew up during the era when ipods / mp3 players incentivized having personal libraries of music files. After itunes became hostile towards that I switched to Google Music which allowed you to upload music files and stream them to your devices. It was great because I had some obscure remixes and indy band albums that I’d lost the CD for years ago.Ended up paying for Google Music after a 3 month trial.
Eventually Google Music became Youtube Music and with it came Youtube Premium. Tried Spotify but it didn’t have some artists that I can’t remember now anyways. So I just kept paying for youtube music and not seeing ads on youtube.
I have the sudden urge to troll c/fuckcars with this. (fuck north americas carbrained infrastructure tho)
It would be awesome if we just did it anyways. Tho Danielle Smith would run with it in the dumbest way possible.
Carney has made it clear his priority is establishing Canadian economic dominance. Perhaps when Canada holds more cards he will leverage them to intervene in Gaza. Perhaps.
