both protest and protestant come from the same root word. and, I would agree that they do “mean” the same thing… to declare publicly or testify.
the -ant ending just makes it “person who declares publicly”

37·1 month agothe part I think is ironic about the infidel patch is that an infidel is someone accused of disbelief in the primary beliefs of a system/religion… the name fits perfectly since these ass hats obviously do not believe spirit of the Constitution.
The easier explanation is that they had to distill a 200 page novel down to 120 minutes of film and convince people to give them money to make it so they could make those people more money… the irony is thick.
conspiracy theories are fun though!
have you read the book? while visually appealing, the movie did not do the book’s content justice.
major theme is destroying the traditional definition of manliness pushed on us by society… fighting ourselves to become our own boss/master in order to create our own definition of manhood.
fun fact: one of the primary reasons the NRA was started was because of how poorly both sides shot during the civil war.
