Hypothetically speaking, how much would have to post/comment to be in the top 10/1/0.1 percent of posters/commenters on lemmy.world/Lemmy overall?
And how would one go about finding the data to determine that?
Personally, I wouldn’t want to know I’m a highly ranked time waster, lol.
You’re in the top 10% already if you’re a human And don’t count bots.
Why yes, I am a human. I enjoy human activities such as breathing and recognising traffic lights.
I found out I was in the top tier on reddit when I started getting invited to the secret clubs. /r/top for example. /r/centuryclub and things like that.
Pretty sure those things don’t exist on Lemmy.
secret clubs
Are you really sure there aren’t any here ;)
They COULD but I’d think with federation they would be super hard to hide… I dunno…
In the early version of Lemmy that was tracked. But it was decided to remove account karma and some instances removed downvotes as well.
Each instance has a unique experience, this is influenced by what the instance members have been subscribed to. As well as what instances have federated with the one you’re using.
There are tools to look into Lemmy metrics but they are intended to gauge the health of the lemmyverse and aren’t useful for looking at a single user or post.
But you can see the communities metrics on their page. Active users and such, so you could look at your posts numbers and eyeball it against that with your scale.
But generally a post or comment in the hundreds of upvotes is doing very well.
Removing account karma was a good call. No account karma = no karma farming. One of the best selling points for switching from Reddit to here.
When I realized this I decided to turn off my views on my own up and down votes. I had no idea how relaxing it is to just post and not give a fuck what people think. The opposite thinking was drilled into me by Reddit pretty well over the years. I’m so glad I escaped that shithole.
Still, if you do this, please don’t be an asshole!
Downvoted.
(kidding)
I’ll do my best not to be one, yea.
As cm02, cm002? I forget what his actual account is called but he spams a lot of content from different instances so is likely up there.
