If they get upset about jokes about the military, they never served. I’m a veteran, and all the veterans I know do almost nothing but talk shit about the military. Hell, I had to explain to a civilian the other day “Military Grade Equipment,” doesn’t mean it’s good. It means that it barely functions well enough to pass the inspection at the end of the assembly line, and will probably be broken in some stupid preventable way by the time it is issued to the troops.

This gives me flashbacks when i went on a bunch of dates, and at some point there was always the question: do you like dark humor? And i was always starting to nervously say: depends, not really. And then they tell me the dumbest most racist joke in history and i had to decide how desperate i was to get laid.

This is insulting to my people. Dark humor is an art form. You’re equally shitty to every walk of life. It’s basically the most woke thing you can do. Dark humor is about the fact that the sheer existance of terms like “racism” or “mysoginy” is inherently funny. Just like it’s funny to watch monkeys throw their own feces at each other. It’s not for everyone. I wouldn’t go around and imitate that by throwing my own feces at people, that would not go well, but to find a way to do it or mention it in conversation and crack a chuckle or a sigh while doing it, that’s the art of it.
