Idk if king cake ever really looks all that appealing? I remember the first time I ever tried it I was in high school. I almost didn’t eat it bc the green color kinda grossed me out. But I did and holy shit, it was amazing.
It’s kind of hard to find a bad king cake. I mean they’re out there but it’s rare. You’re more likely to just get a mediocre king cake rather than a bad one.
With the acception of a durian king cake I tried once (I just can’t do durian it would have been great without the durian filling), I’ve never had a bad or even mediocre king cake from a Vietnamese bakery. This was a really good one.
