I’ve heard this a lot on the east coast of Canada as well.
“Please be patient with me, I’m disabled” as I struggle with concepts not at all related to color is one of my favourite lines to throw out.

it’s definitely the source of all our internal unchecked misogyny. if only we had some dork on the internet to correct us. alas, no such thing exists.
I started shaving my head at 19 before my hair started thinning. It’s clean and convenient and I think it looks good. Eventually my hair did thin out, but I never really noticed or cared because I was used to it.
I work with a lot of balding men who are holding on for dear life to the last few hairs they have, when the solution is to shave it off and get a nice clean look. Anybody who has taken my advice has thanked me, wishing they had done it sooner.
