6 hours agoInsects and arachnids are other examples of sexual dimorphism where females are considerably larger, as the sole purpose of the male is copulation. (Some males compete against each other and that makes their size matter.)

The female will initially protect the nest, while the male forages (or hunts). Being smaller means they will eat less and therefore can bring back more food. As the female is protecting the nest, theoretically is spending less energy and using her size to intimidate possible predators.

4·1 day agoI used to hurt my self and went to therapy explaining that I was afraid I will end things: They didn’t lock me, and instead help me understand what a lot of people go through, and that the fact that I am asking for help means that I’m in the right direction.
That said, my brother killed himself after VA fumbled his sessions, he spiraled down and for a single week he was in high spirits, always joking, as if we had him back. Then my dad found him. I wish they had locked him so I could still have a brother.
If someone here is considering self harm, please ask for help. It is worth it and you matter to us.

7·6 days agoThat was my first thought, but I think the idea is that a well thought and written article can be a better medium for certain materials than a video on where someone just narrates something and shows slightly unrelated royalty free videos.
This guy would nowadays be a WH 40K designer or similar.
