Yeah, there’s no doubt the Fairphone is a better phone. There’s definitely issues with the HMD. I don’t think the Fairphone is 5 times better though.

Yeah, i’d love a Fairphone but it’s 5 times the price of the HMD and I just don’t care that much for processing power or the camera. I just use my phone for messaging, playing music, banking and sudoku.

In my opinion tax isn’t the answer at all. Tax is theft, specifically extortion i.e. “give me that, or else”.

We have to stop them becoming rich in the first place, which means undoing capitalism as their wealth is stolen from the rest of us as profits.

It seems pretty clear to me that despite the ambiguity of the term AI, people are specifically railing against LLMs, not ML. It also seems clear to me that the new Firefox direction as announced by their CEO is to incorporate more LLM specifically into the browser.

That’s all well and good that they give you the ability to turn it off. What’s not changing though is that most of their focus will be on integrating AI which most people don’t want. As a result the pace of other new features being tested/implemented will probably slow significantly.
