I remember Muskrat banning people who use that shortly after he took over Twitter.

Progressive Politics@lemmy.world•Resist and UnsubscribeEnglish
6·3 days agoFrom the website:
First, we must recognize that the president (…) responds to one thing: the market. The most potent weapon to resist the administration is a targeted, month-long national economic strike — a coordinated campaign that attacks tech companies and firms enabling ICE — to inflict maximum damage with minimal impact on consumers.
Companies listed (to boycott) include Amazon and Google, yet the Squarespace site uses services from both.
🤦

Progressive Politics@lemmy.world•Trump Officials Attended a Summit of Election Deniers Who Want the President to Take Over the MidtermsEnglish
4·3 days agoElection experts say that the meeting reflects an intensifying push to persuade Trump to take unprecedented actions to affect the vote in November.
For me this is the first time somebody actually wrote out that other people are pulling Trump’s strings.
And they already know that a simple executive order won’t be enough this time.
I still maintain that him dying or becoming too frail might end this whole thing because he’s the face, even the hero, for his voters, and because there will be a lot of infighting once he’s gone. But it might not.
But otoh, “unprecedented actions to affect the vote” has been happening since Trump1.0 and, well, almost since independence day (the term “gerrymandering” is over 200 years old).

4·4 days agoThe pic reminds me of a youtuber who debunks SpaceX bullshit almost exclusively. I don’t remember the specifics, but he claimed that the v3 seen here is basically a fantasy.
Seriously, do not trust Musk to build something that works reliably under high stress. Esp. do not entrust human beings to anything Musk builds.

tl;dr: SpaceX might be good enough to launch relatively cheap equipment into space but that’s about it.

politics @lemmy.world•It Can Now be Plainly Said: Trump is Planning a November Coup d’ÉtatEnglish
4·4 days agoYeah well. We talked about it for ages, but now we have it straight from the horse’s mouth. I just hope it sends the appropriate signals to the people whose job it is to complain and ultimately prevent unconstitutional behavior.
You know hope, this tiny helpless thing that just does not want to go away?

5·3 days agoAgain? They just can’t help themselves, can they.

PS: I don’t care if the “actual missile” is not in the pic, they shouldn’t do that, and the later retraction is an admission of guilt.
PPS: could’ve been on purpose though. 50/50 🤷
