as far as the last few decades go, there’s been lots of chances to actually get shit done, or to stop fucking up other countries.
and now when they have power to at least slow down the fascist stuff, they go “woops we accidentally didn’t stop it at all,” again, and again, and again.
could probably go back even further for dems having a lot of power, but it’s really ramped up since it became more legal to bribe democrats into kneecapping their own party on anything that matters.
it’s pretty flat across the board that every basically every movement the two party system has made has been towards the wishes of the rich over the actual people.
